While I was attending college, engaged in a fast track program to acquire a 2 year business administration diploma in 9 months, I decided that I wanted to write a book that combined all I had learned thus far on the subjects of ancient mysticism, the law of attraction, the science behind thought and quantum physics.
To this end I began to apply the technique of visualization. Every day I would meditate after my yoga practice. During that meditation time, I would visualize my completed book. I never visualized how the book would be written. I only visualized it, in its completed state. I did so with as much detail as I possibly could and I held that image on the space between my eyebrows behind my forehead, that some have called the third eye and that we now know is the location of the frontal lobe of the brain.
I continued to do this faithfully everyday and within about 4 – 6 weeks, I began to get sudden profound insights, manifesting as complete thoughts expressed in one or two sentences. These insights simply spoken in my own mind and in my own voice, and they were always accompanied by an overwhelming sense of correctness and exhilaration. These insights came at all hours of the day and night. I felt compelled to write them down. Since I was still in school and was on a tight schedule, I decided that the easiest, most convenient way to record these thoughts was to keep a jar of multi-coloured Sharpies in the bathroom and use those to jot these spontaneous ideas down on my bathroom walls. It did not take long before my bathroom walls were covered. It was just about the same amount of time it took for me to complete my diploma.
At that point, I looked up at my bathroom walls one morning while enjoying my constitutional and it hit me. Here on my walls was my book. Each thought was a spring board for a chapter. And so “Follow the White Rabbit: The Adventurers Guide to the Rabbit Hole” was thus conceived and then written over the following 3 months. The final appendix of the book its self, is a compilation of all the original phrases that the book was built upon.
My hope is that you will find both the book and the story of its manifestation, an inspiration that enlivens you to the possibility of becoming a deliberate and conscious creator of your own life.
Be in the mystery!
